CMA says Alberta dual practice does not add physician capacity

The Canadian Medical Association says Alberta has put a dual-practice model in place, so physicians can divide time between public and private care. President Dr. Bolu Ogunyemi says that split does not add capacity. The association says nearly six million Canadians do not have access to primary care, and it has asked Health Minister Marjorie Michel to apply the Canada Health Act to the model.
